“Tomato Source” is a market scene; the title is a play on words.   This painting is of an indoor market focusing on the tomato stand which had a variety of different tomatoes in baskets.   (The vibrant colours of the tomatoes appealed to Sue.)   In the background are people making their purchases.

Sue prepared her canvas using daubs of acrylic paint before mapping out this scene using acrylic paint and medium.   She used several references to create what she felt was a pleasing painting and because it is painted on a square canvas the focal point is in the middle, where a lady is bending forward to purchase some small tomatoes.

She has sealed the finished painting with a matt varnish, painted the edges black and the back is wired and ready to hang.   Sue has labeled the painting and signed it at the back.  It is ready to hang
