Today’s Specials by Sue Hill
‘Today’s Specials’ was inspired by a group of maids discussing the menu of the day. Sue is thrilled with this cameo mixed media painting of three aproned women in a café discussing the ‘specials.’
Sue prepared the canvas using paper, dabs of medium, stencils and acrylic paints. Once she had painted the main body of the subjects, she highlighted stencilled areas to break up the surface.
The painting is in portrait formula and is sealed with a matte varnish. The edges are painted black and it is signed on the back and wired ready to hang.
