THE FLOWER SELLER – by Sue Hill
Sue was inspired to paint this scene after seeing a wonderful market in Cape Town where there were many stalls under one roof. These included a flower stall which was abundant with blooms for sale.
Sue prepared her canvas using daubs of acrylic paint before mapping out this scene using acrylic paint and medium. She used several references before deciding to make the African lady her focal point amongst the colourful buckets of flowers.
She has sealed the finished painting with a matt varnish, painted the edges black and the back is wired and ready to hang. Sue has labeled the painting and signed it at the back. It is ready to hang.
