NOT NOW – I’ve got a headache!
This square acrylic painting captures a moment of humorous human observation translated into the natural world. Sue was inspired by an unforgettable encounter with peacocks during a recent European trip to paint this magnificent male peacock in full, vibrant display, desperately trying to impress a thoroughly unimpressed peahen. Placed centrally against a lush green lawn, the proud male fans his breathtaking, richly colored tail feathers, while the female wanders nearby, completely absorbed in her own foraging and utterly indifferent to his grand spectacle. This painting celebrates not only the stunning iridescent colors and intricate patterns of avian plumage, but also the amusing timeless dynamics of courtship in nature.
Sue has sealed the painting and it is wired, ready to hang. The sides are painted black and it is labelled and signed on the back of the canvas.
