Beach Balance by Sue Hill
This painting is mixed media and acrylic. Sue began by gluing strips of paper, tissue paper and hessian to the canvas to give texture. She decided the subject for this, would be a bright colourful beach scene and began painting in the rocks with ‘daggy’ slightly hardened acrylic paint using a palette knife to set the scene. The sky and the sea followed and then the exercise ladies and the dogs, the towels, etc.
Sue has sealed the painting with satin varnish. The edges are painted black and it is wired and ready to hang. It is signed on the back
