TROPICAL
This mixed media painting is an immersive exploration of pattern, texture and vibrant flora inspired by a field of heliotropes Sue photographed during a stopover in Singapore. The painting was built up in layers beginning with collage paper and foundational base colors before Sue detailed some areas with expressive brushwork. It is dominated by a striking palette of energetic orange and the lush green of tropical foliage.
The painting is sealed, wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted black and it is labeled and signed on the back.
