Endless Potential by Sue Hill
This nocturnal acrylic painting by Sue captures the nostalgic, slightly mysterious charm of a neglected and abandoned “Queenslander” which still exists on a busy street next to a bustling local cafe.
She has painted a moonlit night filled with iconic local fauna, fruit bats circling the sky and a possum perched on the roof. A figure carrying baggage walks down the driveway, which Sue added as a focal point and to lead the viewer’s eye into the scene. An old, rusty vintage car is parked in the left foreground. A rustic, standalone garage is situated at the back of the house. The title ‘Endless Potential’ touches on urban change and real estate transformation, hinting at the high monetary value and re-development possibilities of inner-city land despite the rundown state of the house.
This acrylic canvas is in portrait format and sealed with a protective medium. The edges are painted a solid black and it is labeled and signed on the back of the canvas. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
