Saturation Flow by Sue Hill (mixed media)

Sue had no reference for this bright mixed media piece.   She started by gluing on a variety of torn paper of various shapes, paint, tissue paper, words, and acrylic pens onto the canvas.    Gradually Sue built up the shapes on the canvas exploring a variety of patterns and stenciling in a few shapes with washes of paint, gradually building up the saturation.

She has sealed the finished painting with a matt varnish, painted the edges black and the back is wired and ready to hang.   Sue has labeled the painting and signed it at the back.
